Place the bottle into the tray and add 3-4 drops of food colouring
Add a squirt of dish soap into the bottle
Place funnel into bottle opening
Pour 100 mL of 6% hydrogen peroxide
Pour 30 mL of warm-hot (50˚ C) water into a separate cup
Add 1 teaspoon of yeast into the hot water and mix with a stir stick or spoon
Mix until all of the yeast is dissolved in the water
Pour this yeast solution into the bottle through the funnel and then remove the funnel quickly
Watch and enjoy!
The yeast breaks apart the oxygen (O2) in the hydrogen peroxide (H2O2). The oxygen that comes out is a gas and it wants to come out of the container as fast as it can, because it is mixed with soap it creates a lot of bubbles; which is what we see coming out of the bottle.
