Magic Milk

Ingredients

• 1 clear plate (I recommend ceramic)

• 1 bowl

• 1/2 cup of milk

• 1 q-tip

• Dish Soap

• Food colouring

Instructions

• Pour the 1/2 cup of milk onto the plate

• Add 3-5 drops of each colour you want 

• Pour a tablespoon of dish soap into a bowl

• Dip the q-tip in the dish soap

• Press the q-tip down in the coloured milk

• Enjoy!

What’s Happening? 

Milk is made up of water, minerals, fat and proteins. The soap and fat join together when combined and the proteins and minerals try to seperate causing the reaction we see. The colours make it easier to see what is happening, and more fun to watch.
